hello ts s
thank you for your question
i have understood your problem and you seem to be suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). i would suggest you to start reducing the number of cigarettes/day gradually to a level of non
smoking. visit a chest specialist and get your
spirometry done to evaluate the severity of the disease, since treatment of copd depends on the severity.
continue taking this antibiotic course to a maximum of 5days or till the sputum clears off. the treatment consists of an inhaled long acting
bronchodilator and inhaled
steroids, if the disease is in severe form. abstinence from smoking is must.
this disease refers to a progressive disease so a proper treatment restrict the progression of disease and prevents other systemic complications associated with the disease.
for the time being, treatment given seems to be good but instead of
seretide you can request your physician for cheaper and equally good options. must get a spirometry done to keep a track of improvement/progression of disease
wish you a good health and success. any further query is welcome
thanks
