~ I Am Studying My Meds For Hypertension Trying To

~ I am studying my meds for hypertension trying to understand why the cost for benicar HcT and nisoldipine has gone up so much for the meds I have taken for 10 years. I recently changed from private insurance to Medicare and I am not happy regarding the increased cost. Female age 69 otherwise in good health. I take simvastatin 40, Benicar HCt 40-25 and nisoldipine 25.5 and have never felt ill. No cost for simvastatin. Supply for 90 days for Benicar and Nisoldipine is quoted at $287 each for 90 day supply. I wonder why drugs that have been around so long are going up in cost? The supplement insurance I purchased is though Humana and the Pharmacy is a Humana Pharmacy. Who guards the henhouse, the sly fox?
