HI.. Vasculitis and other immune mediatied disease can be treated by a few other medication apart from steroids.. The other modalities of treatment available are use of immuno modulators, cytotoxic drugs, immunoglobins, plasmapheresis and so on.. They are not that potent and fast acting when compared to steroids.. Hence the effectiveness of these drugs when compared to the steroid course is doubtful.. Discuss with your doctors regarding the other treatment options..
