Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am taking part in a blind study for those with a family history of Alzheimers dementia. As part of the initial workup an LP was done. I was contacted by a study nurse today reporting that the are 59 WBCs in my CSF. 97% are lymphocytes. She recommended follow up with a neurologist. What can this signify and is a neurologist the right specialist to see? I have no symptoms, dementia or otherwise.
