I am tapering off taking 10 mg of Valium daily the past four months. I cut to taking 5 mg a day and now I am at 2.5 mg a day. My general md wants me to now start taking 30 mg daily of buspirone to replace the Valium. I am scared of the buspirone side effects. I have Bell's palsy ( 8 months). The eye I see from isn't fully blinking and is dry . Low vision in the other eye. Mouth dry. Face looks ok. The Bell's palsy is still improving, but it has been a slow process. Became depressed. Antidepressants dry mouth and eye too much, so dr gave me the horrible Valium. What to do?
