I Am Traveling To The Philippines To Accompany My Mother

I am traveling to the Philippines to accompany my mother home to the USA. She spent 5 days in a hospital for pneumonia and since she has diabetes, I suspect her blood glucose shot up (225-250) because of poor diet management and the infection. She is not on any diabetes meds, just diet controlled. Her sx's included fever x 6 days, as high as 39 degrees and rankings low to 37.5 degrees. She had SOB and required 02 via NC. Fever has come down to 37-37.5 degrees, she was on Zithromax and an IV antibx. All I have is Cleocin to give her on the plane if she exacerbates during the ride home (12hr flight). Is Cleocin broad spectrum enough for her for the flight home? She is 77yrs old with h/o HTN and diabetes. What do you think?
