Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am under the care of a cardiologist who is filling in for my regular one . He does not explain things and is kind of short and rude. Anyway, I am 51 year old female. I have moderate to severe left ventricle thickening, an ejection fraction in the low 50%. But, my main concern is I had a mildly enlarged aortic root 2 years ago that now is moderately enlarged. I will be having a CT scan next week to check for an aneurysm. What happens if there is an aneurysm? What if there is not an aneurysm? Can anything be done to decrease the size of aortic root? What can be done if my ejection fraction falls below 50%?
