I As Rushed To The ER For A Heart Attack

I as rushed to the ER for a heart attack on July 1 and was kept at the hospital for three days. They did an angiogram to access the heart blockage, after which I remained at the hospital for two more days. I was discharged on July 3. During my entire stay there, I was receiving regular heparin and nitroglycerin as well as Meteprolol which I continued taking during my first three days home. On July 6th I discontinued the Meteprolol.

Since my discharge I daily suffer periods of stomach pain, bloating and heartburn, which usually ends in diarrhea, after which the pain and bloating disappears for 2-3 hours. The same cycle continuously repeats, though it is generally getting less and less severe.

My guess is that this is a side effect to all the medication, especially the Meteprolol. I read that stomach pain and bloating are two common side effects of Meteprolol.

But could this possibly be due to the angiogram or the contrast dye they used to look at my heart? The angiogram was painless and seemingly went well, though I noticed for the first time today that the vein in the lower stomach near the groin where they inserted the catheter had some slight numbness or tingling feeling.

Is this tingling something to worry about, and also, what is causing the abdominal pain every day?
