I broke my 5th metatarsal yesterday and waiting to see an orthopedic doc hopefully early this week. I am 62 yo and somewhat overweight. I am using crutches to get around and did very well yesterday through the evening on them. Lat night I awoke to use the bathroom and took about 6 crutch movements to get to the toilet. Once I sat down, I began to feel nauseated and broke into a cold sweat. As I had taken a tramadol pill before bedtime for pain in my foot, I thought it might be that. I have not taken another tramadol. This morning, I gave myself additional time to get out of bed and crutched myself to the kitchen for my morning coffee. I took approx. 20 crutch steps there. Once I got to the counter, I again began to experience nausea and broke into a sweat. I am usually pretty healthy and active for my age. I do not take any medications. I have not had any alcohol since last Thursday evening when I had a glass of wine with dinner.
