I Can Taste Everything Except Salt And Ends Up In Putting More Salt In My Food. Lacking Sodium?
Hi, I can taste everything I eat, however, I cant taste SALT and I find myself putting more and more salt on my food and I know this cant be good.! is there a problem or is my body just lacking sodium right now. All that happens now is I salt my food too much and then drink a gallon of water a few hours later!!??
Impaired taste can occur in following common condition: side effect of medicines, depression, infection of oral cavity, vitamin deficiency, electrolyte imbalance and hormonal imbalance. Excess salt intake lead to increase thirst to balance sodium level in body fluids.
Following steps will help you: -First you need to stop excess salt intake which can lead to increase BP. -Healthy diet with fruits and milk product. -Lab investigations after examination by general physician to rule out above conditions.
All the best.
