I Experience Splits On Both Upper Sides Of My Nose.

I experience splits on both upper sides of my nose. I get this multiple times a year. The skin in the nose (upper) splits, and then scabs. A viscious cycle. Ive used vasoline, vicks vapor rub several times a day, but it takes a few weeks before it eventually heals. It is painful enough to make my eyes water when applying an ointment. The inside of my nose is also very dry when this occurs. I have read several things to try, as well as what causes this condition. I just want the 411 on why this occurs, treatments ect. Should i be concerned? It is affecting my everyday life having to carry around a lubricant, along with a q-tip to apply.
