I Found That There Is A Pink Lump About 0.8

I found that there is a pink lump about 0.8 cm in diameter in my right Tonsils (photo attached below) its been there for around 1-2 weeks now, and sometimes i feel a little bit of pain when i swallows food and drink on the right side, probably because of the lump, but its not like a serious pain, just mild, but i have been quite worry about it, would this be cancerous? Should i be worry about it? I have seen a doctor who told me shouldnt be a big problem and only to see him again if it isnt recovered in 2 weeks, but he didnt like explain what the lump is, so i was just wondering would it be related to cancer? If not what problem might it be? Thanks a lot!
