I Got Surgery Two Weeks Ago On My Hand, One

I got surgery two weeks ago on my hand, one cut was still slightly open so they put those bandaid things on it. I went over seas, took it off and it was still not really healed over and slightly bleeding. That was a week ago I took it off and I've been cleaning it everyday and applying new bandaids. It's still a little gooey, and tender and it still hasn't healed. Should I leave it heal a little longer or just see a GP in case of infection?
