I had #3 tooth extracted 6 days ago after a failed root canal and ongoing pain. Since post op day 3 I have had constant headache, chils, fatigue and no appetite. The extraction site itself is not particularly painful but I have been taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen for the headache and general "unwell" feeling. I was not prescribed antibiotics before or after the procedure. I was prescribed narcotic pain medication but did not take it because Ibuprofen worked fine for post procedure pain. Should I go to my GP, or wait it out a little? I would be inclined to call the oral surgeon but the extraction site is not the problem. Any advice or thoughts are appreciated.
