I had De Quervain release surgery on Sept 7th. I am experiencing the numbness of the thumb on that hand and nerve sensitivity. I understand that may go away. What surprises me is lack of flexibility to the wrist itself. I can't raise my hand up and bend at the top of the wrist much. And it can be painful. Is that normal - there is still slight swelling there as well. I am almost wondering if it is from the intravenous sedation needle...maybe...
