I Had A L-5 S-1 AFIL Surgey About 5 Weeks

I had a L-5 S-1 AFIL surgey about 5 weeks ago. The pain in my back is gone. I don't have the soreness in my lower back or the numbing in my legs. What I do have is pain in calves, thighs and hips. It's different then the pain I had before the surgery. I've read that this could be common and should reside shortly. I feel the surgery was a super success except for this nagging residual pain. Feels more like soreness after walking or exercising too much. I'm being treated with pain med to help. Is this normal after that type of surgery?
