I Had A Bilateral Mastectomy In 1999 Following A 27

I had a bilateral mastectomy in 1999 following a 27 year hx of fibrocystic disease. I have a great deal of scar tissue. For 4 days constantly I have had pain in the left breast which radiates into the armpit. Does scar tissue over time become painful? I do not feel any masses.
