I had a blockage in the duct going into the small intestine. The muscle wasn't releasing the bowl and it got backed up into my pancreas, causing pancreatitis, and also got backed up into my liver causing me to turn yellow over night. KU med center opened up the muscle that was holding all the bowl. I started recovering quickly and my counts improved drastically daily. This happened 4 months ago. I returned to my usual nightly beer drinking after I got off work and have been doing fine. I drank a lot of beer Saturday and have noticed these past few days I am getting a yellow tint and my urine is darkening. I went to the dr. and did blood work which should be back tomorrow morning. My belleyrubin was 3+. Could my liver not be healed up enough from my ordeal a few months ago to cause this if I over drink or drink at all. I have always been a beer drinker, but no heavy alcohol. Not a problem to give it up if necessary. I had cat scans and also my dr looked at the pancreas during my surgery and said it was healthy. No cancer. That was in December. What are your thoughts. I am worried.
