Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a chest xray due to chest infections . The xray showed a shadow ( I already knew about the shadow because I've had it 30 odd years since a chest infection years ago )
They decided to do a ct scan the ct scan showed it was a fat pad . The ct scan showed tiny plaque and they decided it was not signicant .
I still have a cough but not other symptoms just phlegm . My sputum test comes back as infection .
I was very over worried so I ask why haven't I been ref to a specialist. So they agreed to send me .
I have no shortness of breath / no weight loas no wheezing and my breath test was very good .
Should I be panicked ?Are ct scans quite accurate
