I Had A Ct Scan That Showed Bladder Wall Thickening

I had a ct scan that showed bladder wall thickening with incomplete distention. What does this mean? I have extreme pelvic/bladder pain, frequent/urgent need to urinate, sometime taking a while or only drips. Also, I have low back pain. What could this be? All urinalysis is negative for everything including std.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may have chronic cystitis. Increased bladder wall thickness means there is chronic inflammatory condition like chronic cystitis.
All of the above mentioned problems are may be due to chronic cystitis only.
Please check for prostate size too.
BPH can also cause this.
Investigation needed.
USG abdomen and pelvis.
Serum PSA.

Hope this will help you

Thank you!
