I Had A Detached Retina & Surgery (vitrectomy) On Feb.20th.

I had a detached retina & surgery (vitrectomy) on Feb.20th. My vision is still very foggy & I'm being told it is now due to a very dense cataract. I have cataract surgery scheduled for Aug.7th. I was prescribed Cipro eyedrops to use after cataract surgery but I have read many bad things about drug in the fluoroquinolone family. Asked for a substitute for the Cipro & was given a script for Vigamox....now learning it is also a fluoroquinolone. I'm wondering if it is safer in eyedrops form than taken internally? I certainly don't want this retina to detach again.
