I Had A Knee Operation In May. I Believe They

I had a knee operation in May. I believe they put a tube down my throat-the nurse said my throat might be dry due to the tube inserted. Soon there after I had to cough sometimes violently due to to a tickling-prickley sensation in the throat and sometimes nose. It is really annoying to me and others. Could it be an infection?
