I Had A Masroidectomy With Tympanectomy And Osscelectomy More Than

I had a masroidectomy with tympanectomy and osscelectomy more than a year ago. Immediately following surgery, I had an extremely salty taste in my mouth that causes mentomtrynto clear the taste constantly. The the constant sucking has create a rough area on one side of my tongue that never shrinks. Wasting and swallowing food is difficult, as my tongue seems to be swollen. My surgeon kept telling me that the taste would resolve in a few months, then he tried to,tell me that it didn't have anything to do with the surgery. To me this sounds like a CYA effort.m will this problem resolve. I am assuming that a sensory nerve was severed durin surgery. Any thoughts?
