Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a meniscus tear that was removed in July 2015. I am 53 y/o who is very active and in good shape. I have not recovered from the surgery despite Physical therapy, lessening my activities, trying anti inflammatory Meds . I almost always have pain medically on knee . If I am on my feet a lot the entire leg will ache, especially above the knee. A times I have a burning sensation in the muscles above the knee. I also have had numbness in my foot at times which P. T. thinks is from my back. I do exercises at home for the back and the numbness problem has lessened. ( less frequent episodes). Physical Therapy does not think he can help me anymore. He recommends cortisone. I think the surgeon must have damaged something else in my knee. I don't know what my next step should be. Sherry. YYYY@YYYY
