I Had A Pap Smear Done Last Month And Due

I had a pap smear done last month and due to my bp 190/100 I took a blood test. The following week my bp was again 190/100 so I am now on NifedipineSR tablet 20mg and Simvastatin. My blood test shows high cholesterol so I am on Simvastatin tablets 20mg. My blood pressure after two weeks dropped to 180/95 so they continued me on the same medication. It has been a month now and this morning I took my bp and it was shockingly 187/112. I took another one after 10 minutes and it was 167/95. The readings make me more worried. I do not have any ache on the body and my head but have a numbing feeling on my hands and feet. What could I do when I get high bp readings or feeling numbness. My husband suggested throwing my ipad away so I could have more sleeptime. I sleep at least 6 hours average a day. I am 64 years old and healthy apart from high bp and cholesterol. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. My mother and sisters have high bp.
