Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a pelvic u/scan today and the report given reads as follows. The uterus is anteverted and it measures 8. 60 *5. 77*4. 10cm. No myometrial, endometrial or adnexial lesion is seen;the endometrial strip being normal in thickness. It measures 0. 96cm in the AP axis by 3. 40cm transversely in the fundal region. Mild fluid is demonstrated in the cul de sac. This may be physiological or it may be secondary to pelvic inflammatory disease. No evidence of renal calculi or hydronephrosis is seen on complimentary renal U/S scan. CONC: Features are suggestive of pelvic inflammatory disease. Kindly tell me what all this is about?
