I Had A Root Canal About A Week And A

I had a root canal about a week and a half ago. Last night, I guess because I noticed the symptoms this morning, I noticed that it burned to swallow carbonated beverages. Soon after I noticed the opening of my ear canal, the side attached to skull not the side that juts out, was swollen and tender to the touch. Finally this afternoon I felt a lump, tender to the touch, behind my ear. I read the lump was a lymph node and that these symptoms could be caused by a root canal, but nothing talks about the ear canal part. I don't think its a full on ear infection yet; there's no drainage or loss of hearing just pain when touched and occasional pierces of inside the ear. Can all this be due to the root canal or is something else in play?
