I had a tonsillectomy on may 20th, it is now June 1st, so it has been almost two weeks. And I am a smoker. I quit 12 hours before and haven't smoked since. Until about 20 minutes ago. I had about hAlf of a cigarette. Will this affect my healing or cause any serious problems ? I don't plan to smoke again until like the 4th week or 5th but I just want to make sure I am safe. My throat has the tiniest pain now,so small that I don't even notice it unless I think about it. I had no post op bleeding accept for when a pill tore off a scab. But that was almost 6 days ago and is completely fine now. There are a few white spots but that is it.
