I Had An EMG And NCS Test Done Today, And

I had an EMG and NCS Test done today, and the neurologist mentioned having to use higher than normal amplitude to stimulate my muscles. In fact, his phrasing was that he "really had to crank it up." I know the studies usually are used to measure latency and speed of impulse, but is the need for a greater shock indicative of anything like demyelination?
