Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an IVF embryo transfer on Dec 27th, was given an positive pregnancy hcg blood test on Jan 11 but soon after the hcg numbers haven't increased as they should. Concern of possible ectopic pregnancy but ultrasound doesn't give clear results. Latest ultrasounds says "There are 2 hypoechoic masses within the uterine body, likely representing fibroids. The larger mass measures 3.1 x 1.9 cm. The endometrial complex appears normal and measures 12.5 mm in thickness". Is it possible that these "2 hypoechoic masses" could possibly be the "babies" and could possibly grow into full term fetus?
