I Had Been Diagnosed For Uterine Fibroids, Kindly Help Me
hello doctor ! I had been diagnosed for uterine fibroids in 1996 and was removed but i could not conceive as my husband then was very impatient and we broke off. After several years I was so blessed to find a man who really cares about me but same problem I am still without a child. Last week I had a sonography done which revealed the presence of fibroid again. Doctor, I am already 47 yrs old but very healthy and look much younger I still have the greatest wish to have my baby as my husband is younger than me. Kindly help me have my dream come true, I will be very grateful to you all my life.

Hello.welcome.You didn't mention the type of fibroid and it's location.Ideally you should go for laproscopic myomectomy and followed by IVF.Good luck.

You should continue trying to conceive. A fibroid can be removed if it is too large, however considering you have had it for a while I don't think it is growing considerably. The prescence of a fibroid does not affect your capability of having a baby, and your age does not either, unless you have early menopause. However you should consult your doctor. Depending on the size you may or may not want to get it removed, as most fibroids grow larger during pregnancy under the influence of hormones. Keep trying! ...Dr. Salahuddin
