I had bronchitis followed by pneumonia 10/31/16. I'm improved but still not "healed". My physical symptoms are wheezing, cough producing white and/or clear phlem, fatigue, difficulty breathing-feels like I can't get enough air. I used to run half and full marathons-now it is difficult getting from my car into my work building without breathing issues. I specifically have breathing issues after coughing, while talking, eating, walking to quickly. Docs thought it was due to allergies, and asthma, but the recent pulmonary dr. I saw said it isn't asthma and thinks it is vocal cord dysfunction (conversion disorder). Since seeing him, my lab work came back and I have hypothyroidism. Could there be a connection between the thyroid and my breathing issues? I am a former smoker.
