I Had Knee Surgey Last July For A Torn Quadricep

I had knee surgey last July for a torn quadricep tendon. I found out today I have to have major surgery on the knee again because it is infected and hindering recovery of function. The surgeon wants to put in a PICC line to deliver antibitiocs for 6 weeks after surgery. I am 71, 65 inches tall 165 pounds, 160/80 BP on bloodpressure pills and hi cholesterol on Prevalite powder, not statins due to muscle cramps. I worry about potential clots developing . How do I do a risk assessment for the picc, not the surgery.
