I Had My IUD Removed Recently. Now I Have Passed

I had my IUD removed recently. Now I have passed my regular cycle dates but period doesn't follow. Did have sex but with ejaculation not in me. My period is now delayed for three weeks or so from the normal dates. help me, if it is normal for periods to delay after IUD removal. What causes the same?
