I had my paraguard copper iud removed about 2-3 weeks ago because it was causing a lot of problems for me. Very heavy bleeding (like an entire box of 36 tampons in a few days) excruciating cramps, weird spotting between cycles and that really disgusting and embarrassing fish smell. I immediately felt better after removal. Now I am late for my first cycle after removal. I have read hundreds of accounts of other women having all of these issues with their copper iud. Please tell me what is going on inside my body right now. What is causing the delay in my cycle? Pregnancy is out of the question. I am tired of this year of my body being so unfamiliar to me and I am hoping I am able to reclaim it for myself.
