Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had surgery for a torn rotator cuff last April down South. When I went to a different physician back home a month later to resume exercises, and after a few weeks - she said that it was re-torn (and an MRI confirmed that). I'm quite sure that I "overdid it" and didn't allow enough time for initial healing. She said that another surgery would really not be successful because the tissue that pulled away from the stitches wouldn't be good. I am very functional with fairly minimal pain during the day, but I have throbbing and discomfort at night in bed. Should I just assume that I should accept this and not sleep well the rest of my days, or might it be beneficial to have another surgery to try to repair it again?
