I Had Total Hip Replacement 4 1/2 Months Ago. Surgery

I had total hip replacement 4 1/2 months ago. Surgery went well and I was told after three physio sessions that I didn't need to have any more therapy. However, now, the pain is so bad in my thigh that I struggle to climb stairs.
Also, my lower back is killing me. The doctor told me it is probably caused by athritis. Do I see my family doctor or do I return to the my orthopaedic surgeon?
Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
