I Have PCOS. Should I Stop Taking Duphaston When It Started Bleeding?
Hi. I am taking duphaston twice daily from day 16 of my period for 10 days, I have pcos. I started taking it, it s the 2nd day now, and I started bleeding/spotting, so do I continue taking it or do I stop? I can t go see my doctor straight away as I am travelling. Thank you.
Hi, It looks like you are experiencing a breakthrough bleeding possibly due to inadequate dosage. You cannot stop taking the medication now; instead you may have to increase the dosage. If you can talk to your consultant, please discuss as to the need for dosage rise. Sometimes, the spotting subsides on its own as you continue taking the same dosage. Hope your query has been answered. Wish you good health.
