I Have RA. Eight Wks Ago I Had Lumbar Surgery

I have RA. Eight wks ago I had lumbar surgery and I am not to take my meds (Mobic & Methotrexate) for RA for three months. Every day my RA is worse, I can barely walk or use my hands at all. Docs said walking is good exercise after back surgery and helps healing, but I can hardly move. At this point, would it be better to start taking the meds again so that I can get moving, or to stay off of the anti-inflammatory drugs and just lay around in arthritis pain all the time?
