I have a 1 year old granddaughter and her platelet count is 7,000 and I know 300,000 is normal. Her Dr is doing nothing to help just taking count every week. I myself have had cancer 3 times and have Systemic Lupus. All deaths in family end in cancer or Lupus. We are located in a rural country area in Texas so I educated myself and when I asked her doctor he said he didn't know there were more than one type of Lupus and then proceeded to ask me to educate him on the other forms. I am scared for her life. She keeps throwing up bruises so easy and is just miserable. What do I do or what are my options so I can take a stand to. Get her well.
