I have a 27 year old daughter with Down Syndrome. For the last maybe 2 months I have noticed thinking and forgetfulness and memory issues. It has now progressed to abdominal pain, upper chest pain, cough, diarrhea, difficulty swallowing, nausea, neck pain, sore throat, forgetful, major weight loss 112 to 88.6, fatigue, headaches, hands and legs shakes, IBS. Brianna was always the life of the party, laugh, made you laugh, never late, always well aware of her surroundings, a self doing and never needed help in dressing, going to the bathroom or direction when she was told to do something. Now it is nothing but sit in the recliner. I am desperate to find out what is going on. I have taken her to her Primary doctor who ordered all blood work and was told her thyroid TSH is .36 a, T4 is .8 and T3 is 66 which Brianna has been on thyroid meds .75 for awhile, all the rest of the bloodwork is normal limits. We have taken her to the ER twice due to her rapid decline and they did EKG's and urnine test found a small amout of UTI which they put her on meds for. She goes for her upper Endoscopy in the morning but no one has given us any answers of why one day my daughter is out going, laughing and silly to sickly, quiet, sad. We do not know who is a specialist in Down Syndrome here local in Pensacola Florida because Brianna has always been so healthy besides a cold here and there. Any help to get my Angel back to her fun loving self would be greatly appreciated.
