Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a 4 week old male baby that is believed to have bronchitis. He hasnt ran a temperature above 100.4 and has stayed around 98.7 to 99.4. Otherwise hes a healthy baby. He started out just feeling bad and having extremely bad gas and we could hear his tummy rolling. What has me concerned now is his cough is croopy and he sounds congested. He has thrown up once that appeared to be just milk (not spit up). My question is how does he get the phlem up and when should we be concerned. He doesnt sound wheezy at this time and appears to be breathing normally,(stomach not sinking in). And advice or reassurance? Maybe how long it will last. He began showing symptoms 5 days ago. We took him to the hospital then and they just said if his temp gets high to bring him back. We called his pediatrician this morning this morning and the nurse said no reason to bring him in if nothing has changed. But we told them he sounded congested and had a croopy cough. Any advice? Thanks so much
