General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Usually clonidine seems a safe drug in children in low doses, for anti-anxiety, as well as calming effect & it usually does not cause any major side effect in the low doses, as has been prescribed for your child. However, Seroquel, should be taken strictly under guidance of your doctor, as it is not usually given below child of 13 years of age and never under 10 years of age.

More over, its long term use can result into side effects, particularly movement disorders like tremors, involuntary movements of muscles and these may be irreversible. Still, the final decision is to be made by your doctor and you are advised not to exceed the dosage advised by your doctor.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
