Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a chronic pain on my right shoulder for about 6 mos now and the result of my mri is : - Focal full-thickness tear involving the infraspinatus tendon - Partial thickness tear invlvng the supraspinatus tendon - Tiny amount of fluid in the subacromial/subdeltoid bursa - Mild degenerative changes of the right AC joint. Questions are: My orthopedic doc injected a cortisone but it didnt help. Now he was suggesting a surgery due to a rotator cuff. I just had a mastectomy and want to recover from the side effects of anesthesia. Can physical therapy help ? Since I have my port-a-carth located on my right upper chest, can that be the possible cause of the pain where nerves are not functioning well? Thank you.
