Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a couple of red bumps on the back wall of my pharynx, I recently had surgery feb 26 to remove a mass growing on my corotid. When I was intubated, it caused a lesion on my throat but my surgeon or myself didnt know it was there until after the day i was released from the hospital and I had to go back because I kept choking and it got so bad I guess the coughing irritated the lesion and caused it to swell and made it nearly impossible to breathe. Just a little backround. Well I had a follow up with my ENT and mentioned that I was having pain in thr back of my throat by my right tonsil about a month before my surgery and I thought it was because I was getting sick..but even a month later after surgery its still hurting and has gotten worse because now everytime I swallow the pain is shooting to my ear and causing me to cough...after examining me, my ent said it might be a tonsilith and said if I developed a fever he would prescribe me some antibiotics. I havent had any fever or anything its just still hurting..I decided to try to remove this "tonsilith" and nothing...then I noticed when I touched one of the red bumps on that wall in the back of my throat, that -thats where the pain is coming from...what could it be???
