I Have A History Of SVT And Have Been On

I have a history of SVT and have been on a calcium blocker for years. I am a 51-year old woman who is thin. I stopped seeing the cardiologist in 2011 because he was a condescending &*** -- my husband and I were very active athletes and when I expressed my frustration to the doctor that I couldn't go hiking due to the chest pain/palpitations/difficulty breathing, his response was "don't go hiking."

Flash forward 4 years to now ... about to have a hip labrum repair and I failed my medical clearance. My ECG showed QRS: inferior infarct and the QT/QTc: said "moderate inferior repolarization disturbance secondary to infarct". My GP says she does not feel this is a false positive ECG because she has done other ECGs on me in years past, normal, same machine.

I don't know if due to limited time, I should return to the original electrophysiologist simply because he has my medical records (and he is considered reputable in town). I continue to have episodes of chest pain/palpitations/breathing difficulty anytime I try to do signif cardio or have stress/adrenaline rushes. There have been 2 times in the last 24 months where these episodes were severe enough to bring me to my knees.

Not sure why I am writing you -- I have to decide if I trust the original jerk enough to see him again, or to postpone my hip surgery and find a new doctor....
