Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lacy looking redness on both inner legs that runs from mid-thigh to mid-calf. The degree of the redness varies. When standing for over ten minutes, the redness increases. It mostly goes away while sitting but the skin remains sensitive to touch. If I sleep on my side with my legs touching anywhere in the aforementioned area, they become sensitive causing me to awaken. The bed sheets also appear to irritate the skin. Recently my legs have started to feel cold even when they are not exposed to cooler temperatures. I have osteoarthritis, a history of kidney stones and recently had a 6 month long kidney infection resulting in kidney surgery and hyperthyroidism with prescribed medications for this. Female, age 71
