I have a left lateral L5-S1 herniation, I'm experiencing moderate to severe radicular pain and have now developed swelling in my left foot, ankle and lower third of my leg above the ankle, my neurourgeon has said I have developed sympathetic dysfunction secondary to the herniation, how common is this?
