Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a pain in my muscle above my right shoulder blade about 2 finger widths from my spine and about 3 finger widths from the top of my shoulder. It feels like i have an ice pick digging from the inside of the muscle outward. The pain is in one spot and I can point to the exact spot. It only hurts when i play the piano or movements forward with my arm. The more i play the piano the more intense it gets and is so painful that the pain debilitates me and it will hurt for quit a while. I am fine if I dont do anything requiring me to move my arms forward. If i raise my arm above my head it relieves the pain somewhat. I have been to a chiropractor and he has not been able to help relieve the pain. Im wondering if this could be a neck whiplash injury i recieved years ago? Or suggestions of what could be the problem and possible solutions to my pain. If it could be whiplash problem, what could i do to heal it.
