Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a painless bump on the right side of my lower lip. It grew in size over 4 weeks from the size of a pea to twice the size. It is the colour of my lip. There is an ulcer right next to the growth. And I have accidentally bitten down on it 2-3 times. I saw the dentist and she drained it. It contained clear pus and she assured me it is not cancerous. She prescribed a course of antibiotics (also I have slightly elevated lymphocytes) and suspects an infection. While it has been decreasing in size the pus continues to come back and she has had to drain it 2 times so far. Should I be worried about oral cancer?
